Why the name Bended but not Broken?

In 2012, when my battle with my legs and Ill health started, it was a very dark time. Indeed the darkest of times. I don't know if you doubt it, but I truly do believe God has a plan for everything and every circumstance. He is always ahead in planning.

On one of my early trips home to see the doctor, I found a song on YouTube titled "He Said" by Group 1 Crew and that song has been one of my life songs. Listen here. It spoke directly to my situation, it was like "Hey, this was written for me!" The more crazy part is, it was released that very year.

The chorus of the song says,
"I won't give you more, more than you can take
And I might let you bend but I won't let you break
And no. I'll never ever let you go
Don't you forget what he said"

Some two years later, I made a promise to myself that if God kept me till 25, I would write a book. And the title will be Bended but not Broken. I didn't break. What didn't kill me actually made me stronger.

One of the easiest temptations is to begin to believe all the quotes we've heard and verses we've memorised are simply inspire to aspire and are not reality. But folks, Hope is real. There is light. There is hope. It can be better. Circumstances might not change, but when you rock with Jesus in your boat, all is calm and bright as it was on that silent night.
